Larksfield Place is Named in Newsweek’s America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities 2024
Larksfield Place has been named among the 250 senior living communities recognized in Newsweek’s inaugural America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities 2024 publication.
Larksfield Place is the only Continuing Care Retirement Community in Wichita making this list and one of only 5 in Kansas on the list.
Newsweek has partnered with the respected global research firm Statista to rank America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities for the first time. The scores were based on online surveys of medical professionals, acquaintances of residents and residents living in CCRCs plus accreditation data. The result is this list of the leading 250 CCRCs in the United States—places where residents not only live but thrive.
“Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) are emerging as a desirable option for seniors looking for both the independence they want and the care they may need,” said Nancy Cooper, Global Editor in Chief of Newsweek. “There are approximately 2,000 CCRCs in the U.S., and that number is expected to continue to increase as the population ages. These communities provide a continuum of care that adapts to the evolving needs of aging people.”
“Providing a care continuum is one thing. Excelling at each level is another. We are proud of our team culture, focused on enriching the lives of discerning older adults in partnership with likeminded peers in Wichita,” said Mike Hambley, President and CEO of Larksfield Place. “Together, quality living takes on an upward trajectory, one based on a 5 Star heritage of healthy longevity in all aspects – mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual fitness.”
